At the North Carolina State Championship, NC Coaches vote for three award.  One award is the Compulsory Coach of the Year.  The second award voted on is the Optional Coach of the Year.

The final award is the Leonard Clemmer award (Senior Athlete of the Year).  The award is named for Leonard Clemmer, father of Ron and Len Clemmer, for his years of service and dedication to the sport of gymnastics in North Carolina. The Athlete of the year is a senior gymnast who not only possesses great gymnastics ability but who also is an outstanding scholar with at least a 3.0 GPA. The gymnast receiving the award should be a role model to our states younger gymnast and involved in community activities.

In addition, each senior gymnast is recognized at the State Championships. More information about the senior gymnasts can be found on the Senior Athlete page.
